Corum's Change Leadership Model
Change Leadership sits at the heart of Corum's approach to change and the services that we offer.
Change Leadership incorporates all the behavioural and technical skills necessary to lead people through a change. It is a specialised set of skills and behaviours that build upon line management and "business as usual" leadership.
Prior to kicking off any change, it is important to establish how all the changes will impact the current operating model. Process re-design compares the "as is" with the "to be" and identifies what needs to change and the interdependencies. Our approach to executive coaching relies on first getting to know the person being coached. For this our qualified consultants use psychometric assessment, for example OPQ, Myers Briggs etc. Up front we establish the outcomes sought for the individual and for the company At Corum we can flex between "light touch" and heavy end "PRINCE" style programme management. We have worked with PRINCE 2, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Kepner Tregoe and a whole range of formal and informal client approaches. We have design and implemented programme management approaches for multiple clients. Our objective in using this harder skill is to ensure alignment, coherent behaviours, performance and quickly resolve problems as they arise
Organisation design with Corum starts with understanding the strategy and its impact on OD. This then develops through business operating model into future state design. This translates into implementation plans including HR (e.g. compensation and benefits) and management planning/ budgeting and reporting. High Performance Teams are teams that deliver results in excess of the sum of its parts. Our approach is based on building teams whilst doing work- not putting people into an artificial environment. The approach adapts according to whether the team is Forming, Norming, Performing or Adjourning. Facilitation extends from running meetings for 2+ people to running major workshops or events to take a group of individuals and develop a vision and commitment to deliver. It covers virtual (video conferencing etc) as well as face to face meetings- and has included multi-site events for multinationals. It covers both the process skills and the behavioural skills required to improve performance and reduce wasted time & frustration. |
